Get seen on Pinterest this Holiday:
Study what is trending on Pinterest and start there - pinning what’s popular with your crowd
Use Pinterest Analytics to find out who you audience is and what they are looking for. Pins that don’t resonate won’t translate to sales or views.
Use images that catch attention
When your audience is scrolling through Pinterest, they are looking for images that are beautiful, inspirational, or represent things they like or want to learn about. Getting to know your audience is KEY to the success of your content on Pinterest. You post, but your audience creates the push. Remember also to stick with Pinterest’s best practices for posting and use images that are 2:3 aspect ratio (vertical) and have your business’ logo on them for brand recognition. Consider adding text to your images to further help others understand the context of your pin and create the desire to click-through for further investigation.
If using video pins - keep it short and entertaining
Create or share videos that are fast paced, entertaining and contain a hook early on - preferably within the first 3 seconds or less. Keep the message clear, whether it’s an instructional video or purely entertaining - everything has a purpose and should lead to a next step or sale.
Be mindful of Pinterest’s SEO
Create captions that are interesting, insightful and intriguing. Remember Pinterest operates as a search engine, so make sure your titles and descriptions have keywords that will help your post be found by your ideal audience! And make use of ‘Alt-Text’ so your pin can be found easily by the visually impaired as well as other search engines.
We hope these tips are enough to get your started on your holiday pinning journey!
